Textile ArtCollective Exhibition at the Maison du Danemark

After a year and a half of renovation work, the Maison du Danemark, on the Champs-Élysées, reopens its doors on 3 february 2021 with an ambitious collective exhibition showcasing textile art under the direction of Danish curator Henriette Noermark and created in partnership with textile manufacturer Kvadrat as well as Galerie Maria Wettergren, Last Resort Gallery and Nils Stærk. The alchemist of colour Margrethe Odgaard, painter Tove Storch, and interior decorator Grethe Sørensen are among the ten artists who, with sensuality, vibrancy, and tactile delight, launch the reopening of the exhibition space of the Maison du Danemark. The exhibition In a Slow Manner, whose title is an ode to the 1941 essay by interior decorator Anni Albers‘Handweaving Today’, awakens the visitor’s senses in an experimental manner through the discovery of textile artworks whose very essence stems from their texture and materials. Emerging or renowned Danish sculptors and artists, as well as two French artists are participating in this exhibition of textile art that aims to present a handful of the best representatives of the current scene. Please find all the information in the press releaseArtistsMargrethe Odgaard,Tove Storch,Justin Morin,Astrid Krogh,Ditte Hammerstrøm,Grethe Sørensen,Vibeke Rohland,Anne Fabricius Møller,Sofie Genz,Valerie Collart Curator: Henriette Noermark.
